Our last night in Mendoza

So our adventures in Mendoza have come to an end. We have had a fantastic time here and will be sad to leave, but we are heading to Buenos Aries and have heard that it is amazing. Plans are to leave tomorrow night on the bus. Can´t wait! Hopefully once we get there I will take some spanish lessons and finally learn some of the language. I have been slacking in this department and am very dissappointed that I haven´t learned much so far. But that will change!

As for the rest of our adventures in Mendoza...last week we went white water rafting. The rapids were not that big but it was sooo much fun. Our guide, Diego, was insane. I swear he was trying to flip us the entire time. He even got us stuck up on a rock! He made the trip super fun. We laughed at him the entire time. After rafting we hung out at the rafting place while Clay and Ryan went zip lining. That was too much adventure for us and we just layed in the sun.

My days are blending together, so this will be short and sweet! Spent some days just chilling out. Laying by the pool, taking hours to post pics, having BBQ dinners at the hostel(where I have discovered some hidden talents...Dad you would be proud!), meeting lots of new people, going to the markets, going out a few nights, and finally saying goodbye to Ryan and Clay. It was a sad day, but we softened the blow with champagne and oj!! Ha ha.

So after Clay and Ryan left, we went for a winery tour that day. They took us to a huge old winery and we got the full tour. But were a little dissappointed when we only got one sample of wine! Not like the wineries in Australia where we could sample everyone! Then we went and got a tour of an olive oil manufacturer. Interesting, but wheres the wine!? Then to another winery, much smaller, and very interesting. Everything had a story. Then back home and early to bed.

The next day we spent the entire day in the TV room. It was fantastic. A day of doing nothing. Also had a yummy dinner of wine and cheese. A fantastic place to do it. They have such great wine here.

Yesterday we went horse back riding again. Our guides were not fun as the last ones, but the views more than made up for it. We rode for 2.5 hours and it was the most amazing countryside. The mountains and the desert are a beautiful contrast.

Today, we are not doing much again. Tonight is our last night here, so will most likely go out for some dancing. Then to Buenos Aries. We are looking forward to it!

Sorry for the lack of emails. This blogger thing has been frustrating. Having some problems with getting photos on it. It takes so long and then I don´t feel like emailing, or there is someone on the one at the hostel. But I´m thinking of you all and love the emails you send. Thank you! Also, we have not been able to find one postcard in all of Argentina! So maybe in BA or Chile!

Ok, still loving it. Love to you all.
Cheers
Linds
