Hiking at Seoraksan

Last weekend I went away to Seoraksan National Park for a hiking trip organized through a company called Adventure Korea. Its the same one we used last year for our Lunar New Year trip. The park was so beautiful with all the leaves changing colors, but it rained most of the time. On the first day it rained at the beginning and then stopped for most of the time we were hiking. And on the second day it rained the whole time we were hiking. Ugh. But it was so nice there and I'm really happy I went, as it will be my last fall in Korea. I went on the trip with Sara, Allison, Josh, Lisa and Matt. Good times. About the first 10 are taken with my old camera and the rest are with my new one. You can sure see the difference! Here's the pics.

My camera lens got a bit fogged up, I thought it made the picture look pretty cool.

Don't be alarmed! This is a buddhist symbol. They are all over Korea.

This was the cable car that went up one of the mountains. I would have liked to go up it but clearly I would not have seen anything! Look how steep it is though!

Once we got to the pension we were staying at, it was time for a little rest, then dinner.

Dinner that night was samgyeopsal, a barbecued bacon-type pork. Not my favorite type of bbq here, but it was pretty good.

After dinner, we had drinks and played cards in mine and Sara's room. Of the six of us, we were the only one's who didn't get a bed. Not impressed. A bunch of random people came and joined our little party and it was a fun, but fairly early night, since we wanted to hike the next day.
Sorry Josh but Lisa just looked so cute in this one!

The floor was a bit hot, so Sara thought it was much cooler in the closet!

Hiking day two! We got up early in the morning and had breakfast...toast and coffee. Then it was off hiking on a very easy hike. It was absolutely beautiful, but it rained the whole time. And then when we got back at the end....it stopped! Great!

The one thing I don't like about my camera is when I have to get a stranger to take a picture. They never know how to use it and it always ends up blurry.

I loved the way the leaves looked all wet on the rocks.

This is the waterfall we hiked to. Obviously not too impressed! Haha! Good thing the hike was gorgeous!

You can see how wet it was that day here. It wasn't pouring rain but just a steady drizzle all day that eventually just got you soaked.

Beautiful flowers still in bloom!

Not sure what is in there...

Sara enjoying the grub.

HMMMMMmmmm! Lunch! Take a wild guess how many of these little fishes I ate!! Haha!
