And then there was two....

Well we have just said goodbye to Aggie and sent her off to the airport! Sniff, sniff. We are very sad to see her go. It will not be the same without you Aggie! So I guess that means I win!! Wink, wink.

We arrived in Santiago, Chile late last night. It was a loooong day on the bus, and it took forever to get through the border. It was an even longer day because we were sooo hung over. Had to celebrate our last night in Argentina, and our last night out together. It was a great night. When we arrived last night we had something to eat and it was straight to bed. We were sooo tired.

The hostel we are staying at is soo nice. Brand new, super modern, with comfy beds, and great facilities. The owner is an architect and it shows. It also is on the top floor of a building over looking one of the plazas here. Great views of the city, and surrounding buildings. In the plaza there is cafes, and artesan vendors set up all day. A great place to people watch. Santiago is much more into the xmas spirit, and there is decorations everywhere. And people! My god, the streets are packed. A very busy, festive feel to the city. Santiago feels different than Argentina already. I'm not sure how, but just in so many different small ways. Its great to be in a new country again. So much to discover and experience. Me and Mik are very excited.

Plans.....well, we havent really discussed it too much, just waiting till Aggie was gone. But I think we will stay pretty close to Santiago, venturing to a couple places not too far away. We havent decided where to spend xmas and New Years, but I think it may involve a beach!

Tonight we were going to go for dinner, but have just heard there is a bbq at the hostel. So maybe we will stay in and be social. Need to fill the void that Aggie left! Will be in Santiago for a couple of days for sure. So thats all from here. More in the next week......
