Sunday Afternoon in Seoul

Sunday afternoon I had a date with the city and I went wondering around the streets of Seoul and took some photos. It was a gorgeous day. Here's what I saw...

The streets of Myongdong.

The future site of an art gallery...I think.

A massive Dunkin Doughnuts. Everything is built UP here.

Snack time, Korean style

Streets of Myongdung

The police bus. There was about 4 of them parked on the street, and a bunch of cops in a group. Not sure why. Didn't stick around to find out!

The post office

The famous Namdeamon market

You could get almost anything in Namdeamon

The cramped market street in Namdeamon

Gorgeous Korean pottery

Ginseng anyone?

The heritage gate at Namdeamon

The streets of Seoul

In front of a palace/art museum. There was a huge line to get in. No thank you.

Paintings on a drum

The MASSIVE streets of Seoul

City hall

Cooling of in some funky fountain

These little girls were pretty excited about the water shooting up to their chachas!

A massive wall covered in a collage, made of little photos of Korea. Pretty cool.

Whats happening here?

I seemed to have stumbled upon the Seoul Food Festival!

Browsing for books

YUM! Fried bread anyone!!??

Getting lost in the streets of Seoul

Policemen taking a break

The streets of Insadong

Back alleys

Can you see the grasshopper?

Colours and clamour in Insadong

Laughing Buddhas

A mad dash for hats

Shop fronts

Antiques as far as the eye can see...

Slicing up some Korean rice snacks

Insadong wares

A drama in Insadong, that took forever to get started, so I eventually had to get home.

Market goods!
